Severn Trent Trust Fund plan to lock up Execs for Charity Fundraiser

On Tuesday 27th February Severn Trent Trust Fund will be hosting their next fundraiser, jailbreak. This will involve two executives from Severn Trent and Auriga Services being locked in cells in a Birmingham prison. Their aim is to raise a total of at least £5,000 before they can break free.

Thanks to the West Midlands Police Heritage Project, each prisoner will have their own cell for the day. They will be taken into custody, explained the rules and remanded in their cells until the target has been reached.

The two prisoners to be locked up are:

Tony Ballance, Director of Strategy and Regulation Severn Trent and Chairman of the Severn Trent WaterAid committee.

Mark Abrams, CEO Auriga Services.

All donations from the jailbreak will go towards the Severn Trent Trust Fund’s 20th Anniversary target to raise £20,000 by April 2018 for WaterAid.

About the Jailbreak

The Jailbreak is taking place at the West Midlands Police Lock-Up on Steelhouse Lane, with thanks to West Midlands Police who have kindly donated the cells to us for use during the day. There are plans to move the police museum to the Lock-Up if sufficient funding can be obtained and it is open on a variety of days throughout the year for open days and events.
